PSG’s Very Weird, Very Winless Start

Two draws, two losses and one perfectly profane explanation have defined the European champions’ opening month.

Paris Saint-Germain has yet to win a game in Ligue 1 this season.

Color me surprised. And no, that’s not sarcastic.

Following PSG’s 2-1 victory over Aston Villa in the UEFA Super Cup, I proclaimed on an episode of The Matchbook that the club is probably the best in all of Europe and, by proxy, the world. Can you blame me? PSG has won two consecutive Champions League titles, the latter of which came against an Arsenal squad that bulldozed its way through the Premier League in the same season.
