On this episode of The Kickoff, the picks are officially going on the record.
Seth Dowdle runs through nearly 40 games across college football, the NFL and the Premier League, breaking down the biggest matchups of the weekend and making a definitive prediction for each one.
College football gives us one of the deepest Saturdays of the season, headlined by No. 4 Ohio State at No. 5 Indiana and No. 2 Notre Dame at No. 8 BYU. There’s also the Austin Simmons revenge game as Missouri visits Ole Miss, the Third Saturday in October between Alabama and Tennessee, a massive Big 12 matchup between Oklahoma State and Houston and several other games that could reshape the College Football Playoff picture.
Then it’s on to NFL Week 6, where the Seahawks and Broncos open the weekend on Thursday night before a Sunday slate filled with teams trying to prove whether their starts are real. The Cowboys head to Green Bay, the Chargers try to stop their season from completely unraveling in Kansas City and several surprising teams get another chance to prove they belong in the playoff conversation.
Finally, the Premier League takes over with all 10 matches previewed and picked. Everton’s unbeaten start gets another major test against Chelsea, Liverpool travels to Brentford, Manchester United faces a pressure-filled trip to Leeds and Tottenham somehow finds itself in desperate need of three points against newly promoted Coventry.
