The Saturday Storylines: 10-4-2025

It’s October, which means that the college football season is in full swing. Depending on where you reside in this great country, fall has finally arrived—the leaves are beginning to turn different colors, the weather is starting to get cooler, and the joy and happiness that come with the college football season are evident for everybody to see. When I woke up this morning, I heard the birds chirping in celebration of another wondrous day of college football. Even they are aware of just how awesome this time of year is.

With so many games to watch today, there are countless storylines and narratives to track as the day progresses. It can feel overwhelming trying to keep up with everything that’s going on, but fear not, because that’s where The Saturday Storylines comes into play. Below are some of the key plot points that I’ve circled for today. It’s not an exhaustive list, though I’d say there’s enough content here to keep any fan of the sport intrigued.

Where Are the Good Games?

Last week was an adrenaline rush I didn’t know I needed. Every single game seemed to come down to the wire, and with how loaded the slate already was to begin with, it was just a crazy day of college football. That doesn’t appear to be the case today, and that’s somewhat of a shame. It’s probably healthy for all of us, honestly, as I’m not sure my heart could’ve handled back-to-back crazy Saturdays.
