The soft launch is over. Football has officially returned.
Soccer has supplied plenty of entertainment over the past couple of weeks, and college football has already given us one deeply strange weekend, but this is the first time the two sports come together to occupy almost every available window across four consecutive days.
Not every game is spectacular. Some are here because they matter, some because they should be fun and others because we need something to watch while waiting for the good stuff. That is the purpose of the Weekend Watchlist: to help make sense of all of it.
