Welcome to the inaugural episode of Blitz & Banter, The Football Corner’s new Friday show where pretty much anything in the football world is on the table.
For Episode 1, Seth Dowdle is joined by Colby Dye to figure out what exactly has happened to Texas A&M. A season that began with legitimate expectations has quickly unraveled, leaving the Aggies at 3-3 and searching for answers after another ugly loss to Missouri.
They get into Mike Elko’s controversial comments about the Texas A&M fan base and his response a few days later, along with the stunning regression of Marcel Reed and an offense that has become almost unrecognizable from a year ago. From there, it’s time to look forward: Can the Aggies actually salvage the season? Is a bowl game guaranteed? Could a quarterback change be coming? And what happens if Texas A&M limps into its Black Friday showdown with Texas needing a win?
